Marketing is a very broad term. It’s used in so many ways that the true meaning is never revealed because most do not understand what Marketing stands for. Marketing only works when you have a Message targeting the right audience who is interested in what you have to offer. The art of promotion is the best way I can describe “Marketing:” your ability to promote your business through several advertising medians results in endless leads and prospects to communicate with.

Now this list seems a bit overwhelming, but I want to share with you a secret about MLM marketing, and what determines your success.

It’s not about using all these techniques, it’s about mastering 2-3 of these techniques to their fullest potential and creating a story for you to recruit and duplicate from. I have tried all these techniques and I failed miserably because I was spread out managing 15 different marketing campaigns. I quickly realized that in order for me to find the success I deserved, I needed to master 2-3 of these techniques resulting in the creation of 25-30 new daily leads.

If you haven’t read the book Your First Year In Network Marketing  By Mark Yarnell, he makes it very clear that the magic number is 30 new conversations per day. If you do this for 12 months, you will create a 6 to 7 figure income business.

Now there are 3 fundamentals you must follow in order to make your marketing campaigns effective:

1. Your Message
   What does your advertisement say? Are you using Emotional Words? Analytical Words? Are you trying to sell it all upfront without peaking interest? There are principles in marketing you must follow in order to make it work. Anyone can place a newspaper advertisement, but there is no guarantee it will generate calls.
2. Posture
   Once you have developed a marketing campaign and you begin to generate leads, how you connect with those leads determines the return on your advertising investment. I learned this from Jeffrey Combs: anyone can generate leads, but the most successful networkers are the ones who can CLOSE those leads into doing business. Without money moving hands, profits are not created. Without profits, you quickly create a non-profit organization from the dis-comfort of your home.
3. Consistency
   A human being must see an advertisement 8-12 times before making a decision to respond. The consistency behind your marketing message, the consistent advertising median you are using to promote your message, and the energy behind the phone determines how successful the overall campaign is. I struggled with this part. I would run ads and generate a few leads but could never create a profit because I was not consistent with my phone skills.
